The Starry Night

The Starry Night after Van Gogh It haunts me, the starsyellow eyes peering behind curling clouds, like wild wavesfoaming in my dreams. I wake on the edge, the precipiceof sleep. I turn to the moon for strength but through itsteeth you can hear the sneer. ‘Jump’ whispered in winds.

I’ve been quiet this week as it’s been my 30th birthday just yesterday, but I’m still here, and I’m still writing. Im off now for day two of birthday celebrations in the sun and finally after months of torture I am going to a physical book shop. Wishing you all a day full of light.
I think even the weather hasn’t got a clue about what is going on right now. A mood.
Doors, aren’t they funny little things? What comes through them? Where do they lead? What is the most memorable door in your life? What does it mean to you?
This church will teach you deception, there are no pews, no naves, no stained glass windows into a better place. Inside, you will find dozens of tiny luxurious homes, and dodgy drugs deals in the corridors. Not all houses of god are pure.
Writing prompt: pick a set of stairs that you have encountered physically, maybe fictionally, and thinking about where those stairs have or can lead, write what comes to mind. I picked a mesmerising set of spiral stairs I saw a picture of.
